  • Include an image of sustainable responsibility that is projected for the public to see ( firms as socially based organizations)

  • Focus on building relationships with customers, instead of focusing on making and selling alternative products

  • Ability to sell new, green or sustainable concepts and solutions based on value and success negotiating and managing complex agreements that include sophisticated Intellectual Property issues

  • Ability to negotiate development agreements with business partners that include complex intellectual property issues and rights

  • Ability to negotiate commercial sales agreements that include complex price and/or value issues and sustainable possibilities

  • Focus on prospecting, developing and closing new business alternatives

  • Ability to hear and capture customer unmet (and often unstated) needs and performance requirements for alternative and sustainable solutions

  • Time management (including the ability to multi-task), personnel management, budgeting/management of financial resources, and management of sustainable material resources
